Issues updating my Delta II headset

Hello, i've had my Delta II headset since last summer (august), and today i've been trying to update its firmware version from version 00.03.06.00 to the newest version, but every time i try this i seem to get an error accompanied by the code: 4181.

After which it recommends me to reboot, but sadly did not fix it.

I have tried updating with the regular Armoury Crate app, and with Armoury Crate Gear as well.

I also have the issue that everytime i connect my headset via 2.4 it does not get sound, but when i connect it again immediately afterwards, it receives sound without issue.

 

Does anyone please have a fix for this?

I have the same issue. Tried re-installing Armoury Crate but still fails with code 4181. My device is on version 00.03.00.00 and it's trying to update to 00.03.09.00. Luckily it seems my audio and lighting are still working over the 2.4GHz connection and Bluetooth

Hey guys

To update your ROG Delta II with Armoury Crate.

1) Use the usb-c to usb-a adapter for the wireless dongle and insert it into a pc usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

2) Connect the charging cable to your ROG Delta II and a pc usb port.

3) Set the 2.4GHz wireless switch to off.

4) Try the update in Armoury Crate.

Hey, already did this on the first attempt, still failed which prompted the re-install.

Ok, try this.

1) Let your headset set up like in my post above.

2) Uninstall Armoury Crate from windows.

3) Restart your pc.

4) Install Armoury Crate version 3.2.11.2 - Armoury Crate - Support

5) Check for updates at the Armoury Crate update center.

Hello Nate, i have tried both your suggestions.

Sadly, it once again shows the same error message during the installation process of the update.

And even worse, this ended up causing a bigger problem.

When i try to connect my head via either 2.4 or BT, it connects, but after 5 seconds or so disconnecting again without any sound given.

I've tested this on my PS5, and it happens when connected to that as well.

Do you think this calls for an RMA process/ticket?

Ok, so it Still doesn't want to update.

At this point, I'll suggest to contact an official ASUS Support Center for your region.

I normally don't suggest this, but in the event that reinstalling Armoury Crate didn't solve the problem, a windows reinstall would be the last resort to try.
