an Asrock mainboard and Armoury Crate does not work or is not designed for it.
How did you come across ArmouryCrate?
How are the speakers connected to the mainboard via Toslink optical or via HDMI to the graphics card?

It should actually be adjustable in the audio driver, i.e. in Realtek Audio Console/Realtek high definition audio settings or in the GPU driver.

You write yourself that you have an Asrock b650 pg lightning motherboard.

But ArmouryCrate belongs to Asus and NOT Asrock.

You either posted the wrong motherboard name or you are mixing Asus software with an Asrock motherboard.

Asrock does not offer ArmouryCrate.

Now it's getting more specific..
You came to ArmouryCrate via the Asus headphones.
Then it becomes plausible.
The headphones are supposed to support 7.1 but only as EQ/virtual 7.1.

I had these headphones too but I couldn't activate 7.1 separately.
At least there was no option for that in ArmouryCrate, even though I had also installed DTS Unbound and DolbyAcess as apps from the Microsoft Store.

If 7.1 works with the MSI X570 motherboard but not with the Asrock b650 pg lightning motherboard, you should compare both motherboards in terms of software etc. to see what the differences are.

PS:

I had the same headphones for a short time and I couldn't set up 7.1 sound in ArmouryCrate.
I never found the cause and returned the headphones.
