Audio optimization stopped working with latest SDK and ASUS Framework 4th of january

i was using my headset as always and then i opened Armoury crate to change my EQ and basically my preset and i was obliged to update my headset (ASUS ROG Delta S Eva Edition) and now every audio optimization is not working.

I was looking at the history of updates and the problem came with update of SDK and ASUS Framework from january the 4th, also idk if the driver itself on admin device was Bongiovi before?, because i was looking at it i tried to delete it and after reinstalling Armoury crate keeps installing it, anyone with any solution? I started thinking to use Firmware rescue but i think is not as bad as having a bricked headset to you use it.

Before everything i uninstalled the actual armoury crate, then i remove the bongivi driver from device manager, now i installed armoury full and i select only my headset, if you have more ASUS products remember that the SDK is going to be the same for all of your products in this case 2022/09/25, also you are going to have several problems with Tidal i already post about it down here and if you stream there are several audio problems, like clipping audio, but in general is a temporary fix, also this armoury crate ask for update but you can choose to don´t ask again.

so when you downloaded the 2022 version of the armoury crate after plugging in the headset did it not automatically updated itself or forced you to update? or just it went along? also can you share the link please i'd like to try it as well

no, it ask for permission to update, you can choose to not show anymore, also all of your peripherals are going to have the same date on the SDK.

Followed your instructions to the letter and all the settings work now. Only minus is Armoury Crate crashing often, but I can live with that.

But I can't live without good sound quality.

everything it´s fine for me, but i still have problems with Tidal, with an unknown error.




my fix is keep closing that error messagge and switch to my other sound device, then play it and now switch back to the headset, if you want to have the MQA working, just select your device and switch to exclusive and works fine till you reopen tidal. The next time you open tidal just redo this and it is going to work fine.

I can't see anywhere to uninstall bonjovi so i just install armoury and then re download . Now my sound is even worse , it's like the communication mode

Open device manager and switch to view as Driver and look for something called bongiovi, then right click and remove, now reinstall armoury crate but download full install provided here (look for it in the comments).

Thanks I find it . What about after re install . The app will ask for updates and I can't skip update , it force me to update

I have the same issue i have asus rog delta s and after updating it sounded awful, kinda like the default factory settings, and when i tried to play around with equalizer to fix it  today  there was no difference no matter what ridicoulus settings i changed. I gave up and restored my system to an early day, luckily it was from today and now the audio is back like before. Only "downside" is i cant use armoury crate audio settings until i update it, so I'm just not going to touch it until there's a fix..

Also can you explain your steps a bit better? i cant find this bongiovi thingy. If it really works i might try but i doubt i have the patiance for another system reset if it doesnt work. Lol

What i dont understand how can this happen, do they not test updates?? unbelievable
