Should check the manual 7.1 / Stereo (Phone) switch on the earcup. Make sure it's switched to 7.1 then reconnect the cable.

as you can see no option for 7.1 volume mixer

Hello, I had this problem a couple of months ago after updating the firmware. There is still no solution.

Masterc I have tried again and by chance if it has worked with your solution. I have changed the switch from PC mode to Phone mode, I have connected it and connected erratically.

Then I disconnected again and left the switch in PC mode and there when I connected it again the 7.1 option appeared in the configuration.

I have the ROG Theta 7.1 hearing aid and as of today the latest update on September 9, 2024 the Stero selector and 7.1 has disappeared from the configuration options. Now you can only listen to audio in Stereo by default. This hearing aid does not have manual buttons on the outside to switch between Stereo and 7.1, I could only do it from the app
Armoury Crate. For me this is essential to be able to change it to play games.

Hmmm that doesnt make any sense, as its name says it is not stereo but 7.1 we paid money not to get stereo sound!

7.1 channel audio has always worked (must switch manually on the headset and replug the connector due to Windows limitation). The only glitch was the channel volume, it was resolved in ROG Theta 7.1 HTML v4.03.20, please update and check again, thanks for reporting it.

If you want to check if 7.1 surround sound is working properly, you can check in Windows. (Make sure the headset is switched to PC/NB mode first)

Test out some content decoded in true 7.1 surround sound. If the content is only stereo (YouTube) then the output in the Theta 7.1 will still be stereo.

As I commented in my last comment. You can choose to listen to Stereo or 7.1. With the latest update of the Armoury Crate App, option 7.1 had disappeared.
However, I was able to make it appear again thanks to MasterC's response.
In my case, it worked to take the headphones, change it with the switch to Phone mode, connect it to the usb. Then switch the switch back to PC mode disconnect it from the usb. And connect it again to the usb. When I connected it I already had the option of 7.1 and stereo in the Armoury Crate configuration as it has always worked. That is, you paid for a 7.1 that thanks to this solution does work as it should, that is, 7.1 or stereo if you want with the selector. I attach a screenshot with the active option so you can see that it is real.
