For those who thinking if they may safely update to firmware 0044 - the answer is YES.
But you need to update all ASUS ROG Theta components in the updater. Not just its firmware but the Armory Crate software as well, since they changed the GUI and moved the 7.1 option to SETTINGS from the AUDIO tab.
