Have you connected the wireless dongle to a usb port on your pc and set the switch on your headset to 2.4?

Alternatively, you can use Bluetooth.

As you can see from the product page, the Delta S Wireless is for 2.4 GHz and BT only. A wired connection is only for firmware updates and charging. It's not a faulty product.
