Sometimes the boot will be stuck at code 97. I need to turn off the power and turn it on again to get it back to normal. Both the system operation and the game play are normal when the boot occurs.

May I ask if the situation you described happened after any changes were made? For example, updating the BIOS or connecting an external device
According to the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO, the latest BIOS version is 1202, and the corresponding Intel ME driver is 16.1.27.2176.
Could you please confirm where you downloaded the 1203 update from?
Referring to the Q-code list on the last page of the user manual, code 97 indicates "console output devices connect."
We recommend checking the connections of your graphics card, monitor, and other display-related hardware.
Please also try cross-testing different connection methods (HDMI/DP) if needed.

Changed to z790 apex after using z790 hero before
I have reported to ASUS backend to ask them to use maximus z790 series + ROG STRIX 4070TI, according to the progress, the backend devices also have the same problem.
