"Get current version is null" - ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING

Hi there,

I am trying to update the VBIOS of my ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING card. Downloading the VBIOS from the BIOS & FIRMWARE section of the DRIVER & TOOLS page for the card and running it (in both admin and non-admin modes) results in a "Get current version is null" error. This is preventing me from using resizable bar, which would provide a performance boost in games (especially Starfield).

My other components are:
CPU - Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Motherboard - Gigabyte B650M GAMING X AX
SSD - Samsung 970 Evo 2TB
RAM - (2x16) DDR5

Nvidia driver version is fully up-to-date: 537.13
Windows 11 is fully up-to-date
I am using the latest version of GPU Tweak III

The link I am using for updating the VBIOS: https://rog.asus.com/nz/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-strix/rog-strix-rtx3080-o10g-gaming-model/...

Note that there are similar forums posts that exist, none have a conclusion. I can only assume that in this case the tool for updating the VBIOS is broken.

I have been sending messages to Asus support, but I'm pretty sure I'm speaking to an AI. Which is ironic, because to post this I have to verify that I am not a robot 😂.

Same issue here. Although my card is the TUF version of 3080-O10G.

Definitely a problem with BIOS update tool.

I have successfully upgraded my VBIOS, but NOT using the Asus tool. I used NVFlash and grabbed the BIOS version needed from techpowerup. This is the tutorial I followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xsEvdIrNGc

I believe this can void your warranty however, so it'd be great is Asus could resolve this issue. I wasn't too worried for myself as the Strix model has dual bios. Unsure about the TUF.
