Yeah, I'm at a total loss guys, so I'm just going to explain my situation as best I can and hopefully someone more technologically adept can help me.
I have a TUF Gaming Z790 Plus Motherboard with the 750 W power supply. My CPU is an i7 13700k (I think off the top of my head) and it includes an integrated UHD 770 GPU (this is only the only GPU this PC has ever seen). And I'm running Windows 11 Pro.
All that said, I recently purchased a GeForce GTX 1070 GDDR5 (the 8 GB one with 3 fans, it's old I know) and I used the cables my power bank came with (one side says PSU with 8 pins and the other is split and says PCIe and has 6 and 2 pins. Once I plugged it in, I connected the GPU to the PCIe x16 slot on my motherboard. When I powered my PC on, it lit up (at least the Gigabyte logo does). However, my device manager will not detect it, and if I try to plug my HDMI or DP cable into it, it won't send an input to the monitor.
I've tried downloading drivers from the website, but the program can't detect my GPU either. I've seen several methods involving Armoury Crate and dGPUs and updating BIOS and changing some settings and disabling my integrated GPU, but I don't know which if any of these to try in my case. I have so far tried adding legacy hardware, and I've also tried using the driver installer on the original disc it came with, but none of that has worked. If someone could offer anything they've done that worked in the past, and maybe even some liberally-detailed instructions, I'd be immensely grateful. I'll try to reply to any comments as soon as I can.

Hello BylethEisner
For a gtx 1070, you'll want to enable CSM (Compatibility Support Module).
Connect to your cpu's graphics.
Enter the bios, go to the Boot tab, look for CSM and make sure it's enabled.
Hit F10 and Enter to save and exit.
Connect your monitor cable to your gtx 1070.
Do you have display?

Launch CSM is greyed out for some reason? Is there a way around that as well?

Sorry for a late reply.
Select CSM configuration and see if it will let you enable it.
If not, try Selecting Launch CSM.
