First yes I have ran it under power like furmark etc and it has not increased, it is in the g5 slot on my rog strix 790e and I am planning to get another power cable so it is not just relying on 2 cable with on daisy chain. Doubt that should cause the issue but I have heard so many different theories as to why this happens, I additionally have an intel gen 12 i9-12900k core and uhh have no idea, I pray its not the gpu.

I also do not believe this mobo suffers from an nvm slot that when used reduces the lanes available to the gpu

final desperate thing I tried was a cmos restart and that did not work either. Yeah its abyssmal

One last attempt will be to move the nvm ssd to a pcei 4.0 slot since my ss isnt even 5.0 anyway so I have heard the intel mobo have an issue with competition

Hi @irksome_ivan
It in fact does. Most boards will do so when running lanes directly from the CPU due the number of lanes available.
As per the manual, when M.2_1 is occupied with SSD device, PCIEX16(G5) will run x8 only.
