So my STRIX 4090 melted 3 days ago. Its a long story to write but i will only post what ASUS said to me. So ASUS accepted to take my GPU for inspection. I shipped my GPU to ASUS Repair Centar. I had a phone conversation with ASUS agent. I was told that my warranty will be void if i use 3rd party cable/adapter. They will only honor warranty if i use nvidia included adapter or original cables for my PSU. I said ok fine. Called again after 2-3 hours and different ASUS agent was on phone and he said the same. People on forums/reddit tell me they honor warranty for using 3rd party cables/adapters. Im thinking to call again but this time recording a conversation on my phone.
Im unable to find anything on ASUS webistes about 3rd party cables/adapters voidng warranty.

Hi @Sib3riX ,
we apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced. Regarding the issue with your graphics card, could you please confirm if you are currently using a third-party cable? Additionally, could you provide a screenshot for reference? Furthermore, please send your graphics card's serial number to me in a private message. We will inquire locally for more information, and if there are any updates, we will get in touch with you. Thank you.

My GPU is still in transit to distributor then they will forward GPU to ASUS Repair Center. I didnt use NVIDIA provided cable/adapter but cable/adapter from cablemod. I would need official ASUS statement on using 3rd party cable/adapters. I would like to know if ASUS honor warranty if you use 3rd party cables/adapters. Im unable to find any information on ASUS official websites/repair centers.

Hi @Sib3riX ,
based on your issue, have you already applied for an RMA? If so, please provide us with the RMA number. Regarding the graphics card warranty issue, you can refer to the Graphics Card CID criteria below. However, the specific condition of your graphics card will need to be determined by an engineer on-site. Thank you.

Just to add here: RMA completed ASUS replaced my card. Took them 45 days. 14 Days to open package and inspect my gpu. I was in queue. Idk whats happening with these gpus but waiting in queue 14 days to get it inspected is insane.
All in all im happy and thanks
