Hi, I was planning to buy the new ROG RTX 5090 Astral LC as a replacement for my current RTX 3080 Ti LC, which has been absolutely excellent. However, after reading the issues reported by the community here:

I now have serious doubts about purchasing this card. As a fan of the ROG series, I’m disappointed by this situation, just like everyone who bought this model and encountered problems. I decided to create a new thread for people who are also considering buying this card so they don’t have to go through the same issues as the users who already reported them.
I currently have a few questions:
1. What confirmed problems are known in the 5090 LC at this moment?
- grinding noise from the pump
- not recognized by Armoury Crate
- fans not spinning
- power cable detection LED
- swapped/incorrect settings in GPU Tweak III
2. Is there anyone here who received a unit that didn’t have any of the issues mentioned above?
3. How long does a replacement/RMA take if something turns out to be wrong with the card? Did the store give you a new unit immediately, or did you have to wait for it to come back from ASUS service?
4. Did the store/retailer make any problems about returning multiple opened units? For example, if someone received four cards in a row with the same issue and returned all four unsealed boxes, did the store still accept them?
5. This is a serious matter, and in my opinion ASUS specialists should look into these problems as soon as possible and fix them. You created a great card (as always), but it will end up sitting in warehouses because the community is afraid of receiving a faulty unit and going through stress before anyone helps them.
I hope ASUS is already investigating this and will come back soon with an explanation of the cause and when the situation will stabilize. Right now it doesn’t look encouraging, especially considering the price of this card.
I’m looking forward to your comments, especially from the ROG support team.
