GPU Tweak III Wont start RTX 5090 Astral

Hello, yesterday after a long time, I received my 5090 Rog Astral.

After connecting everything and testing it for a while, I tried GPU Tweak III, and the program doesn’t open. I click on it, and nothing happens. It appears for a few seconds in the task manager and then disappears. I’ve tried both the latest beta version and the stable version, reinstalling multiple times, restarting the PC as instructed, etc., but nothing changes.

This is all on a fresh installation of Windows 11 from scratch after installing the GPU. I’ve read other people in the community say it’s an issue with Nvidia drivers, and that rolling back to an earlier version makes the program work, but I don’t think it's right to have to use old drivers on a €3000 GPU just to use its software.

Is there any information on when the program will be updated again, or if the development team is aware of this issue?

What drivers do you have installed? Because I have the latest hotfix drivers 572.75 and Iam experiencing the same problem.

If you would be using the latest official WHQL 572.70 Game Ready Drivers you could run gpu tweak.

Iam using msi afterburner instead for now, until asus releases updated gpu tweak

Well, I’ve solved it, and it was actually the complete opposite of what you mentioned. I read in another post from a moderator saying that with the hotfix 572.75 it should work. I was on 572.70, and as soon as I installed the hotfix, the program opened without any problems...

Well for me it was exactly how I describecd it.

What version of gpu tweak do you have installed? Because there is the stable release v1.8.8.0 and the beta  v1.9.0.3

I have the latest beta v1.9.0.3, ,but i have tried with the sable version too

Because Iam just doing a clean install of nvidia drivers along the gpu tweak and other drivers and I got it finally working.

Anyway, how do you control the leds on the astral card? I can't see it in the gpu tweak program

Since i installed the hotfix drivers i only tried the beta version because is the most up to date. i didnt try the stable one. To control the RGBs you need Armoury Crate or something like that i think? GPU Tweak is only for overclock, temp control,etc.

Thank You, it's been too long since I had armory crate. After you install it, it won't detect the card right away, you have to register it via device update and then it shows under the aura sync tab below the synchronized devices
