Hello!
I have an Asus OC 24GB 4090 TUF and am trying to troubleshoot an issue that I’ve been having the past few days. I can’t necessarily replicate the issue as it just happens randomly after my PC has been on for at least an hour. All temps are within normal operating range with the CPU between 65-75C and the GPU 45-60C.
While playing ANY game, there’s a rather high chance that it’ll crash. I’ve checked the event viewer log right after a crash and it always says the same: “\Device\Video3 Error occurred on GPUID: 100 00000000020030000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000”
Yesterday I used DDU to completely remove EVERYTHING NVIDIA from the PC. I also went as far as uninstalling icue, all razer software, steelseries and checked for any possible overlays that might be toggled on (all are off). I’ve also reinstalled Nvidia and icue since then.
I also checked the connection at the PSU and at the GPU to make sure everything is straight and secure. I’m currently using a Grizzly Wireview 180 adapter, which I checked the connections and there’s no type of melting involved. Should I try to run it without the wireview installed to see if any crashes occur?
I do get a more specific error when it crashes with Warzone in that it states that DirectX has encountered an error. It also crashes with Diablo 3 & 4 and a few other various games so I don’t think it’s a specific program. Should I try to reinstall DirectX? Or is it a possible hardware issue? Crashes don’t happen at any certain time interval or even wattage usage on the GPU, just completely random.
I also did a fresh install of windows last night and only downloaded one game (Diablo 4) to see if it would be stable or not. After about 1.5 hours of playing, it crashed. I checked the reliability monitor in windows and all it told me was that it was a hardware issue.
Specs of PC: Ryzen 9 7900X
Asus TUF OC 4090
32GB Gskill Trident 6000mhz DDR5
Asus Thor 1000W PSU
Asus B650E-F Mobo
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @Chitoh ,
based on your issue, may I ask have you make sure that graphic driver is at the latest version?
Have you visit official website to confirm the latest update?
It is suggest that you can try to remove extra wires which connect PSU and the GPU to confirm whether the issue still occur.
May I ask have you try to cross test with other graphic card?
Did the issue only occur when playing game?
Please make sure that you have all the driver update.
Thank you.

Unfortunatly i have the same experience. During a game or benchmark (Unigine) the PC will crash mostly within 15 minutes.
My Specs are:
