Setup: 9800X3D, ROG Crosshair X870E Hero, Astral 5090
Rear and middle fans used to spin before I installed GPU Tweak III, after installing and manually setting the fan speeds/profiles and several reboots - the middle and read fans do not move even after a full system wipe/install and default BIOS change. On GPU Tweak the "Center & Rear" slider moves % but the RPM monitor shows 0. Even if I run Furmark and it gets really hot the fans don't kick in. I was setting up my new PC and running 3DMark and the fans would move whenever I benchmarked, but after GPU Tweak 3 and moving the manual fan sliders around - I found it odd that "Center & Rear" slider never did anything.
To troubleshoot I wiped my system clean and reinstalled Windows 11 (full windows update) with latest drivers for Mainboard, latest NVIDIA v572.75 drivers, GPU Tweak III 1.9.0.3. Even went as far as changing my BIOS back to full default (No curve optimization), switching from "Performance" to "Quiet" on hardware switch of Astral. Tried even updating Astral BIOS to the new "Quiet Mode" still nothing. I have no idea what else to do as it has to be software because it was working before, any suggestions?

Hi both,
Can you state whether the fans work after reinstalling Windows but before reinstalling GPU Tweak III as this isn't clear in the OP?

Had to RMA the card unfortunately.
All fans were working initially - whenever I ran a game I could see all fans working. After I installed the GPU Tweak III and manually set fan speeds it just stopped working permanently. Power % would register but RPM was zero. Did a full system reinstall and motherboard BIOS clear, tried the new silent BIOS from Asus, tried the performance switch on card and even installed it on another PC, nothing. I'm convinced something with GPU Tweak III caused this.

Thanks for the update - if you get an RMA number can you let me know the details privately as I'd like to follow up on it

Just finished completly whiping/reinstalling windows 11 and sadly the middle and back fan still dont work.
The only thing i installed after the reset was Steam, 3DMark and the Steel Nomad stresstest.
Since i have a prebuild i dont know what happens next - i hope this will get resolved soon.
Also important to note is that i dont know if GPU Tweak 3 "bricked" my card since it was the very first thing i installed on the new system to check the 12VHPWR things to make sure everything is in the green.
My specs: 9950X3D , 64GB DDR5-6000 CL30 , STRIX X870-F and the 5090 Astral OC.

Install the newest driver: 572.83 (use DDU to remove existing driver).
If problem persists, start RMA and provide me with your case number, please. 👍

Hey there,
Thank you for your response.
First off all i want to mention that i already got a replacement which works perfectly!
1. The two Fans (Middle and back) did not work at all no matter what i tried. GPU Tweak 3 showed and changed the % but the RPM was always at 0.
2. 0db function on/off didnt change it - the fans didnt even spin for a second when i turned on my PC.
3. Didnt spin even when the GPU was at 100% usage.
4. Sadly i cant provide a video since the card already got replaced - i also dont have a GPU-Z picture from the old one.
My specs are CPU: 9950X3D RAM: 64GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Motherboard: STRIX X870-F GPU: 5090 Astral OC PSU: Corsair HX 1200i

Hi @r1ckmann
Did you receive a case number, or was the card returned to the etailer?
