Armoury Crate Not Detecting GPU — Need Assistance

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with Armoury Crate where it suddenly stopped detecting my GPU. It was working normally before, but now the GPU section doesn’t appear at all inside the app.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

  • Reinstalled Armoury Crate using the uninstall tool

  • Updated GPU drivers

  • Updated Windows

  • Restarted multiple times

  • Verified that GPU works fine in games and Device Manager

Even after these steps, Armoury Crate still doesn’t show the GPU options.
If anyone has suggestions or has solved this problem before, please let me know.

To help us accurately determine why Armoury Crate is unable to detect your graphics card, please assist us by providing and confirming the following information:

1. Armoury Crate & HAL Component Versions

Please provide:

  • Armoury Crate main software version

  • Armoury Crate HAL / Device Kit version

2. Graphics Card Information

Please share:

  • GPU model (e.g., RTX 4070 / RTX 4090)

  • Card series (ROG / TUF / Dual, etc.)

  • Whether you have ever flashed the VBIOS

3. Has the GPU appeared in Armoury Crate before?

If the device used to be visible but now is not, please tell us:

  • When did the issue first start?

  • Did it disappear after a specific update?
    (Windows Update / Nvidia Driver / Armoury Crate update)

4. Please test “Complete Uninstall + Reinstall” of Armoury Crate

To ensure no corrupted or leftover files affect detection, please confirm:

  • Whether you used the official Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool

  • Whether you rebooted after uninstalling

  • Whether all modules downloaded successfully on the first launch after reinstalling

5. Windows System Information

Please provide:

  • Your Windows version (e.g., Windows 11 23H2)

  • Whether you are on Insider / Beta / Canary builds

  • Whether you are using a virtual machine or remote desktop session

6. Armoury Crate Log Files

If possible, please gather logs using the steps in FAQ Q5 (APP Diagnostics):

Summary:

  1. Go to Armoury Crate > Settings > App Diagnostics (enable logging)

  2. Reproduce the issue once

  3. Package the log files

  4. Upload them to a cloud drive and send the link to us along with:

    • Approximate time when the issue occurred

    • Your exact operation steps

7. Please also send us your GPU serial number (SN)

This will help us verify batch information and compatibility.

Same issue on my side
GPU: ASUS ROG-ASTRAL-RTX5090-O32G-GAMING
Has the GPU appeared in Armoury Crate before? -> Yes
When did the issue first start? -> After I upgraded to the latest version of Armoury Crate OR after I upgraded to the latest version of Nvidia App (not sure when exactly)
Did it disappear after a specific update? -> Nope
Please test “Complete Uninstall + Reinstall” of Armoury Crate -> Done, no changes
OS: Win 11 Pro

Other ASUS parts detected properly

GPU Tweak III also doesn't work. Just closing after 1-2 secs of loading.
Only software by ASUS failed to detect GPU. Other applications such as Nvidia App, GPU-Z and OCCT work correctly.

Same here. It started after the MB component update.

Mobo here is the Crosshair x870E Extreme, GPU RTX5090 Liquid OC.

Same here, all of a sudden my graphics card won't show up in armory crate anymore. 

Any tips as to fix this?

Found the reason. It was nVidia driver 591.44. Rollback to 581.80 and reboot.

YES, I confirm I had the same problem on an ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI with TUF RTX 5090 & ROG STRIX RTX 3090. Windows 11 25H2 everything is freshly installed. I went back to 581.80 and everything is fine. Let's wait for nVidia to release a fix.

Same for me. Rollback to 581.80 and it worked.
