When will we see the new bios update for this intel microcode? I am afraid to fry my cpu using the 0x129 microcode in the 325 version bios. Thanks in advance

Other forum users have posted screen shots from Asus customer service emails stating that there is no known release date for the bios patch… is it ever going to be released?

Hi all,

we sincerely apologize for the delay in the release schedule due to some internal issues, along with the impact of the recent holiday.

The release is currently planned for the end of Q1.

We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as soon as there is any new information. Thank you for your understanding and support!

First it was January, then the end of February, now the end of March? Is that calendar Q1 or fiscal Q1? Just say the release date.

If ASUS doesn't want to (or can't) support the machines that they sell, then they shouldn't sell any machines!

For the time being, I recommend setting a - 0.1 offset on your CPU voltage. You can go into the AI tweaker and set this. That's what I did and started seeing my idle voltage drop to .7v with a max of 1.4v which is fine.

I randomly checked ASUS bios page and found  what I think is a update for the G16CHR

https://www.asus.com/np/supportonly/g16chr/helpdesk_bios/

Thats it! I downloaded it yesterday.

I just submitted a ticket 2 days ago that got escalated to find out the release. I guess the right top person saw it and said hey boys get on it.
