G10CE - Intermittent PC crashing or PC restarts with BSOD, black screen or non responsive

Okay, I am at the point where I am now creating a post and asking for help, cause I am at my whit's end.
This has been going on for awhile now, I've become so used to it I can't say for sure, maybe 6 months?
First off, there were no issues before this started, and no there were no upgrades (other than the initial memory upgrade I did, prebuilt ASUS ROG machine)

Usually, after I am done playing a game, or attempting to start Civ6 from steam, or rarely in the middle of web browsing, the PC will either at least 1-2 times a day:
1. PC freezes, screen still visible, input devices non responsive, restarts after about 1-2 mins
2. PC screen goes black, input devices non responsive, restarts after about 1-2 mins
3. PC will just restart
4. BSOD, then restart

Seems to only happen during activity, when the PC is left on for extended times with no activity it never restarts.

PLEASE, help point me in the right direction.

Some of the things I have done.
1. device/software updates
2. BIOS updates
4. OS updates
5. event viewer log pointed to NordVPN error possibly related from post on this forum (I don't use it anymore so uninstalled)

I think I've got it narrowed down to GPU, Power, Memory, or Motherboard USB/power?
Any assistance would be of huge appreciation, with my 3rd shift work schedule, limited personal time, and FFXIV playtime, troubleshooting time is very limited and I don't know where to start.
Currently in process of backing up PC, for potential reinstall.

Hello Douglas Dixon,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Answers Community.

Since you have mentioned that blue screen occurred, we need to check the dump files for a clue.

To do so, please go to file explorer->This PC->C drive->Windows->minidump, and upload the DMP files there to a file-sharing service (like OneDrive) for our analysis.

Also, the "corrected hardware error" comes from "VEN_8086&DEV_4C09", which is the x4 PCIe bus, which is shared with a NVMe drive. Did you add or replace NVMe drives on the motherboard? If so, what is the brand and model of that disk? If it is the pre-installed disk (or you do not know), please right-click Start->Task manager->Performance->Disk; the model should be in the top-right corner, next to the graph.

We look forward to your response.

Best Regards,

The only upgrade/change I did was memory which I did on very shortly after buying it (2021 I believe)
The restarts only started maybe 6 months ago. It does coincide I think with the timing of a BIOS or ASUS updates through their internal software.

My pc ended up doing the same and I have the same gist of parts you do and it’s the g10ce and mine happened a while ago as well I’ve sent it out to be repaired the repair guy said it was a corrupt hard drive but if he fixed it it still restarts so idk if it’s that and it is now locking me out bc of the restarts if you find anything on this please let me know I would really appreciate it

I will definitely let you know.

I've got a thread on windows support as well, waiting on a reply. Checking BSOD mini dump files.

Backing up the computer right now and getting ready for a reinstall. It happens just intermittently enough to really drive me insane now.

I think i found the culprit. No crash since last night.

The restarts were TDR related possibly.

Either the BIOS update I did previously changed settings, or somehow I did. I reset BIOS to optimized defaults, it changed several power settings for c state and something else.

I also updated the graphics driver after the fresh install.

Will update within 48 hours if persists

Airing out case as well, checking contacts, that can also cause restarts related to TDR
