I will start by saying I am highly disappointed. This fix is already in the G16CH. How many people are getting screwed over by a fix that has been out since September is beyond me.
A prebuilt pc for new consumers should be top priority. I payed a premium so I didn’t have to build it and I hoped everything would work as intended and that there would be no design flaws in such a highly marketed PC.
I have had no conformation to whether it is safe to use under 0x129 microcode under BIOS 325. What is the holdup? How hard is it to accomplish this task? Instead of pushing it past that two week period of Chinese new year, a company that cared about their consumers would work as hard as possible to get it done beforehand. It’s a prebuilt motherboard. It should be easy for a team to throw it together. Even if it is hard, where is the beta version of this? If you can put it on the top tier motherboards, then how hard can it be to put it on this cheaper one?
Should I just return the PC? I don’t know. I guess the responses to this post will let me know.

Hi @avkn I've moved your thread to the correct section.
Thanks

@avkn , I am also extremely frustrated with this. Other machines have been updated since August. Why is G16CHR so far behind? I just got it for Christmas, and I am thinking about returning it since ASUS doesn't seem to want to support this machine. I called their support a couple of weeks ago, and they said that they would reach out to me with more information, and I never heard back. Absolutely terrible customer support.

So unfortunately, I didn't do my full research into if the G16CHR had the BIOS update like the G16CH does and bout this computer yesterday. After spending this much on a "gaming computer" I am now worried about even using it and messing it up before there is a fix. Is anyone doing anything to fix this before that happens? Are we suppose to just stop using our pc until they finally fix it? what happens if it fries out before they do? are we getting compensation since its a known issue and they haven't made it possible to fix for us?
