ROG Delta II unable to update firmware via Armoury Crate Gear app

Recently received a pair of Delta II's and was trying to set them up. Upon downloading the Armoury Crate Gear app I was notified that a firmware update was available. Currently, my headset and dongle version is at 3.00.00. However, upon trying to download the firmware update it only makes it about 50% of the way before failing. Each time it fails it says "..please try again. (6)". I have uninstalled the app (using the utility tool) and reinstalled the app to try again but it still fails. I am following the prompts and have it plugged in via the provided cable and with the 2.4ghz dongle plugged in as well. The headset appears to function as normal without the update, but I have yet to test everything.

Hello teest

Try using the usb-c to usb-a adapter for the wireless dongle. Make sure it's connected to a pc usb port, you can use pc case or motherboard usb ports.

Make sure the charging cable is connected to your ROG Delta II and a pc usb port.

Set the 2.4GHz wireless switch on the headset to off.

Try the update in Armoury Crate.

using full Armoury crate was the fix for me. Had to uninstall the Gear app as it did not update the firmware for my headset.

thank you for this I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to update the headset and all i had to do was turn off the 2.4ghz transmitter SMH...

Set the 2.4GHz wireless switch on the headset to off. this works for me thx
