ROG DELTA II not updating firmware

HarleyDJr

So - the ROG Delta II headset is working, but it has a firmware update to install.

When I try to do it, it gives me this message:

"Connect your device to your computer using both a USB cable and a 2.4GHz receiver (dongle). Switch your device to Wired /OFF mode then proceed with the firmware update."

I've done that, but it still gives me this error.  Any suggestions?  I'm not using a dongle - just USB A (computer side) to USB-C (Headset side) Plus I have the 2.4ghz receiver plugged into a USB-C port on my computer.

Thank you.

Hello HarleyDJr

Try using the usb-c to usb-a adapter for the wireless dongle and connect it to a pc usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

Then try the update again in Armoury Crate.

These are the latest versions.

Thanks, Nate - but I do have it connected that way.

I am on a Lenovo Legion laptop - USB-A to USB-C cable connecting the headset to the computer.

I Also have the 2.4 GHz dongle plugged in, per the instructions on the error message.  I've tried it both with the headset powered on and powered off, in case being powered off would be the wired connection.  Nothing has worked.

My version for both the headset and dongle is 3.00.00

In your first post, you say you have the wireless receiver connected to a usb-c port.

In the box is a usb-c to usb-a adapter, connect the wireless receiver to the adapter and connect it to a usb 2.0 - 3.0 port.

Let the cable connected to your headset and pc.

Set the 2.4GHz wireless switch to off.

Try the update in Armoury Crate.
