Hi,
I had an issue with my ROG Delta 2 headset where short system sounds (like Discord mute/unmute or notifications) would get cut off or distorted after about 10 seconds of silence. The first part of the sound was missing or lagging.
After testing different things, I found a simple fix:
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options
Click Edit plan settings next to your current plan
Click Change advanced power settings
Expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting
Set it to Disabled
