Hello,
Little regression with no consequences as far as I tested, but since firmware 00.04.08.00 for the ROG Delta II headset, they are now detected as "Speakers" instead of "Headphone" on Windows 10 and 11 (tested two different system)
I have not noticed any other issue due to that but it's now really confusing to navigate through all my audio devices 😕
@Aureliannn_ROG @Jiaszzz_ROG Can you guys confirm the issue with the concerned team?
Thanks!

Hi @Aureliannn_ROG and thanks again for your assistance
In Armoury Crate the Delta II is properly detected and settings do affect the sound of the headset as usual:
Here are few screenshot of the Delta II showing as "Speakers" ("Enceinte" in French OS system) in multiple locations on Windows 11, Sound settings, System Tray and Sound Parameter from Control Panel:
I'll proceed and send you the Serial Number of the Headset via private message
Thanks!

This actually broke my Delta 2 now. Even if I select the Delta 2, the audio still goes through the laptop speaker, with even worse sound than when I choose the laptop speaker instead. T_T

i have to check my old notes from v2.6 until today (many many years). but i think there was a time was headphones on windows. but most where speakers now. i own 2 and both comes as speakers here are my thetas. i know we love the part of the headphones. but mostly is windows side to id what is a speakers and what is a headphones and more when they are usb devices same as out audio. If on ac is ok then all is ok. maybe one day windows sort this out eventually. be sure is ok. I think the ones that are BT only appears as headphones.
Report can be send so they can check this with MS so they fill the id together. but will be nice. good spot there.

I have that problem too. After updating the firmware version to 00.04.08.00, the headphones are identified as speakers, and the sound quality has become terrible. Extraneous noises

Have you found a fix for this? Looking at some stuff I saw the Realtek “fix” for it but that did not work at all
