I need to turn off this feature permanently. This audio enhancement has been making my audio pop. Every time I try to disable it, it re-enables itself. If I want it disabled, it should be disabled. My audio works fine when it is disabled.

I did find some more files in windows/system32/driverstore/filerepository but it wont let me delete them saying I need permission from "system".
How can I get this Bongiovi garbage off my system???? I paid a premium for the Z790 formula and I can't even get sound without pops and clicks..

I feel like there's some correlation here with an issue with armoury crate preventing us from updating nvidia drivers, whenever the HD audio driver and PhysX drivers are present things like youtube, google, dragging windows will have lag spikes. It could be that the bongiovi drivers are clashing with nvidia HD audio.

If you don't have rog headphones bongiovi shouldn't install. If for some reason it does, use this: GitHub - lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer: Driver Store Explorer [RAPR]

I'm afraid this doesn't fix it, I'm tempted to try the other suggested solution, but I'd prefer asus released an update and I don't have to mess with anything.

Yeah, this is basically what i ended up doing. Deleted the drivers and it fixed my issue. Sennheiser HD 880s with Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO as a motherboard.

I have an Asus Rog Strix z790-f Gaming Wifi II, deleting the bongiovi drivers also seems to have fixed my issues.

I use a Focusrite Scarlet Solo 4th gen with Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X headphones.

I don't use headphones so this "fix" is useless.

Asus is the best you all just don't know how to use your computer and devices because you don't read or watch enough tech videos to teach you how to use your computers and it's software including your operating system. Don't hate just get better. You can't rely on Asus for everything and demand instant fixes because you don't learn how to use your devices. Start by learning how each of your devices talk to each other and your device drivers and their authoritative properties. Drivers for different devices will sometimes conflict with each other. You're welcome.

Hi,
sorry for the late reply, regarding users who are experiencing similar issues without using ASUS's headphones.
The backend team is currently investigating whether the issue is related to the motherboard, and we appreciate your patience as we work to address it.
Thank you.
