ROG Chakram x origin - how to use the side buttons like real side buttons?

Hi everyone, 

Recently I bought that mouse and this is my first mouse with side buttons. The problem is that in armory crate I can set almost any function to side buttons except the actual side buttons. I have it set up now so that the side mouse buttons use the function of the 1-4 nampad buttons on the keyboard but that solution is not very good.

Maybe I'm missing something or is there really no way to fix this?

In Armoury Crate on the Buttons page, try this in the screenshot. You should get a dropdown menu with options to choose from.

I used the Forward button as an example.
