If you consider updating the firmware for ASUS ExpertWiFi router, but do not allow to use wired PC, or your ExpertWiFi router is not around, you can use [Firmware Upgrade] feature of our ASUS ExpertWiFi App to make a remote-controlled update.

Setup Process with Android phone
1. Click ASUS ExpertWiFi App.
2. Tap [Settings] at bottom right.
3. Click [Firmware Upgrade].
4. Choose [Check firmware version]. This feature automatically checks for the latest firmware for your ExpertWiFi router and helps you upgrade to it.
5. Check firmware version.
6. Click [Update] if any updated firmware is available.
7. Press [Upgrade Now] when the system pops this notification up.
Note: Please do not power off any AiMesh devices during the firmware update progress. The process takes about 3 minutes. Each device will automatically reboot when the update is complete.
8. Firmware is upgrading.
9. Firmware upgrade is successful, click [OK].

1. Click ASUS ExpertWiFi App.
2. Tap [Settings] at bottom right.
3. Click [Firmware Upgrade].
4. Choose [Check firmware version]. This feature automatically checks for the latest firmware for your ExpertWiFi router and helps you upgrade to it.
5. Click [Update] if any updated firmware is available.
6. Press [OK] when the notification pops up.
