Hey. I stumbled upon this thread whilst looking for info on fixing my gifted rig. Its a asus RoG with a Crosshair v formula z motherboard. It wont boot and just beeps at me with an apparent memory error code on the lcd. I'm guessing to update the bios from usb may be a good start. I can't find a download for an update bios anywhere and now these threads have got me afraid of breaking the board

I've not tinkered with a pc since P4's and Agp cards were a thing haha. So this is all relearning for me and any help would be appreciated.

First try clearing the cmos. Turn off your pc, press and hold the clear cmos button (Number 2) for three seconds then try booting up.

If clearing the cmos doesn't get you to boot, try updating the bios using the bios flashback feature. If you need help with this just say so.
