[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (H610/B660/H670/Z690/B760/H770/Z790)

Hi everyone,

- Intel ME Consumer Firmware :

Firmware : 16.1.38.2676 [19/02/2025]
PMC Firmware : 160.2.00.1043
PCHC Firmware : 16.1.0.1014
PHY S Firmware : 13.0.1.7085
PHY N Firmware : 13.62.211.7255
Download : Link

Check/Update Process :

Check current version : Right click on "Check.cmd" > Run as administrator

Install/Update : Right click on "Install.cmd" > Run as administrator > Automatic restart when install is done

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements : Motherboards with Intel H610/B660/H670/Z690/B760/H770/Z790 chipset.

I notice that every time I update the BIOS, the Intel ME firmware version remains the same (even if in the change log they say they have updated it ...),how is it possible?

ME Detection Tool is what i use, and after the last bios update on my Z690 Apex it still said 1620

Bios release note said me firmware 1735.

Have updated it now from this site.

Mine didn’t update to ….1735 either. Flashed the new bios today.

Same, ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4, official Asus BIOS updates do NOT update the intel ME FW, fail....

You need to update the MEupdate from Asus support page in order to update your IME firmware on your mptherboard.

The BIOS changelog specifically states "Update Intel ME version 16.0.15.1735".
If it doesn't it shouldn't list that.
I have to wonder whether or not then it does the rest of the things it states.

Hi,

This is an naming mistake from ASUS, they refer to drivers version working in tandem with this firmware version.

You can find the last Intel MEI drivers package here : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/VMD (6xx/7xx)

Hi,

If your Intel ME firmware does not update to the 16.0.15.1735 version with your last BIOS update, use the standalone firmware package from this thread.

Once updated, you can check your Intel ME firmware version from :

- Check.cmd from the firmware package.
- Firmware tab in the Properties of your Intel MEI device : Device Manager > System devices > Intel(R) Management Engine Interface #1.
- Main tab in your BIOS (Advanced Mode).
- [SOFTWARE] Intel ME Security Check (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx).
