Hi,
I was able to put back/update properly all of my threads in ROG forum.
We will see how the ROG forum will evolve in the days/months to come, for now I will update my threads symmetrically on both forums, it will allow to have a backup place in case the ROG forum is down again for one reason or another.

There's a new bios from Dec 1st, "ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING BIOS 2801" which recommends using the ME firmware update tool for 14.1.70.2228v4. Just wondering if that's the same as this one. Only difference would be the v4 revision for some security fix.
It won't let me run the official updater from the asus mobo firmware download section as it doesn't think I have the MEI driver installed. I think that's because my MEI driver is the more recent 2336.5.2.0 vs the 2334.5.1.0 driver they provide from the support/downloads site. Not having any issues just thought I'd mention it.
Anyways thanks mokichu

I did move it from my Download folder to another folder , still nothinng happens. Check.cmd works, but Install.cmd nothing. With the FWUpdLcl64.exe I get an Error message. Error 37: Invalid command line option(s).

Hi,
Make sure you avoid ZoneID blocking trouble :
- For each downloaded .zip : ZoneID unblock the .zip (Right click on the .zip file > Properties > Check the box Unblock > OK).
or
- Disable the ZoneID blocking completely (you will no longer have to unblock each downloaded .zip) :
- Right-click Windows Start button then click Launch then type gpedit.msc > OK
- User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager
- Do not preserve zone information in file attachment : Enabled > OK then restart your PC
