Never again install ME from a third party, lesson learned the hard way. I struggled for several hours trying to get my system to boot normally. Got it to successful post after a process of elimination of various bios settings. Can't change the BCLK or go with manual overclocking but was able to get my OC's back by syncing the cores and manual VCORE settings. Bought a refurbished STRIK Z490-E as backup.

thanks god or to idk who but i never learn from that kind experience , i only download bios and firmware FROM OFFICIAL PAGE RELEASE , idk why asus moderator allow to this user post link to download from mega.nz firmware for h470/z490 when he is not official worker from asus and to make it worse firmware with problems
i know i using old version (Version 14.1.53.1649V1.1) of ME the lastest from official asus page , ME intel detection tool say is vulnerable , but i use the last bios 2601 with zero problem , also i remember a asus moderator in the forum told me the ME is no very important than the bios , the bios are more important
i hope asus engineering make a real ME firmware to resolve the problem that aloot people are facing with the computer i know we are now gen 12 intel , but hello z490 is not obsolete motherboard , and no only that the post in every motherboard model of z490 example here https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-xii-formula-model/helpdesk_bios , no in the forums for download the firmware in/from the forum

I had nothing but problems with the 2601 BIOS with Windows 11. Never had any issues with the last BIOS on my Z490-E. At first it was great. Updated BIOS and configured, updated the ME to the latest. Rebooted, ran some benchmarks. Didn't notice any speed issues but then rebooted again and PC wouldn't boot, bluescreen claiming no driver signatures. Clearerd the secure boot keys, tried to boot from a fresh Win11 USB, no go. Had to go back to the previous BIOS. 2601 broke my mobo unfortunately. Not sure why.

Hi!
How do you updated the ME? Did you use Asus ME Updater utility from your motherboard support page?
I had update 2601 BIOS on my Z490-H yesterday. All is OK so far.....

Yes, downloaded and installed Version 14.1.53.1649V1.1 from the Z490-e page. It's the exact same file I installed back in August of 2021, no change. Maybe ASUS goofed and didn't actually upload a correct ME for the Z490-e?

Yeah Asus never updated after the 14.1.53 ... I've updated my ME firm thx to Mokichu and his own version that jumped to 14.1.65, showing no more security leaks.
I also feel that the latest bios is unstable, I get here a triple boot. The 14.1.53 are mentionned as "unsecure" according to intel me security check, but if you intend to updated to the 14.1.69 version, be aware that it might give you some serious headache about booting. Asus is not updating their drivers (or almost not) for the Z490s platforms. So I rely on Mokichus drivers to update them, so far, so good, but that bios messed it up...

Has anyone with the BCLK/Effective TJMAX post loop issue with 14.1.65.1969 tried 14.1.65.1990 yet to see if it is fixed? I would, but I no longer have the XII board available to test it.

After flashed 14.1.65.1990, the double boot(Qcode 19) or post loop issue with 14.1.65.1969 was fixed.
Thank you, Mokichu
