If you want better interrupts delivery latency

Hello, I have the Asus ROG Maximus XIII Hero MoBo and my driver update software seems to have me on older drivers. I stumbled across this thread while trying to find the right drivers for my MoBo online. Would you happen to know which of these I should be installing? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC40xx codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS Legacy) or Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

@MoKiChU   I'm curios that you've mentioned there will be no more new Realtek USB Audio drivers a number of times - why is this?  Is the device out of support?

Have you seen ss3 now inside the armory crate not as separated app with new drivers but I'm curious it's only work with new z790 mobos only

There are no SS3 applications within Armoury Crate. The only instance I have seen was with Cetra True Wireless headphones where a similar virtual surround and equalizer/environment options were present under the device settings and labeled as powered by Sonic Studio. I'm currently on Z790-A D4 Wifi and have used SS3 since my Z370-G. This is why it was imperative for me to stay with Legacy drivers because SS3 is the only app that provides proper upmix of stereo sound (such as music files played on Spotify or locally with Windows Media Player) to 5.1 speakers if one still uses them in a home theater format.

In this pic they had option ss3 in motherboard section in armory crate I thought that was ss3 in armory crate now cuz new drivers they provide it don't have separate ss3 app  *I attach Pic you can see

My Z790-A D4 Wifi board doesn't have any of those device options. Looks like it depends on the board.

All strix mobos supports ss3 but they put it in armory crate with new z790 ii
