Which driver is appropriate for the Maximus XIII Extreme. I am having an issue where SPDIF connected sound just stops working until reboot.
I have used v6.3.9600.2276 - 2290 and all exhibit this behavior.

Thanks

Hello MoKiChU,

I have a problem... I updated the Audio USB drivers of my MB, Zenith II Extreme Alpha (Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS TRX40 MB) :
Drivers : 6.3.9600.2303 WHQL [28/09/2021]) but after following your suggested install/update process, each time I power on the PC, I keep seeing the install windows of A-Volute and Realtek programs (or driver)...
Each time...
Any reason why ?
How I can solve this bug ?
Thanks !

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Also, to avoid ZoneID blocking trouble :

- For each downloaded .zip : ZoneID unblock the .zip (Right click on the .zip file > Properties > Check the box Unblock > OK).

or

- Disable the ZoneID blocking completely (you will no longer have to unblock each downloaded .zip) :

- Right-click Windows Start button then click Launch then type gpedit.msc > OK
- User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager
- Do not preserve zone information in file attachment : Enabled > OK.

Hi and thanks for the help.
I've done again the whole procedure...including the ZoneID blocking procedure, as suggested.
Same result as before.
Each time after I turn on my PC, I see this window:
90482

1) Redownload Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS TRX40) from the first post of this thread.
2) ZoneID unblock the .zip (this step is not necessary if you have already disabled the ZoneID blocking completely) then extract it.
3) Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process.
4) Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process.

Apparently, after my last install, it is ok.
I don't see that window anymore...

Thanks !
