Hi everyone,
- Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG RTK-Dolby) :
ASUS ROG Realtek|Dolby Atmos motherboards :
Install/Update Process :
CLEANUP
/!\ If you already had Realtek USB Audio Driver, Realtek Audio Control/Console, Dolby Access installed /!\
Uninstall them (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf starts with (if you find them) :
a-volute | avolute | dax | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | realtek | rtdusbad
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button
INSTALL
Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > "Next" > The installer will ask you to restart your PC > "Finish"
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your apps from the Microsoft Store shortcuts
UPDATE
Launch "Update.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Restart your PC when the command prompt window disappears
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Click on the "Select Old Driver(s)" button > Click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button
Note : Your apps will be updated automatically via the Microsoft Store.

Launch SS3 Cleaner by right-click Run as admin
Press Windows key + X > "Device Manager" > "View" > Check "Show hidden devices" > "Sofware components" category
Uninstall these hidden devices by right-click Uninstall device (if you find them) then restart your PC :
DTS Audio Effects Component | DTS APO4x Service Component
INSTALL
Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > "Next" > The installer will ask you to restart your PC > "Finish"
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your apps from the Microsoft Store shortcuts
Update your SS3 apps : Sonic Studio III v3.16.24.0 | Sonic Radar III v3.16.24.0
UPDATE
Launch "Update.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Restart your PC when the command prompt window disappears
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Click on the "Select Old Driver(s)" button > Click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button
Note : Your apps will be updated automatically via the Microsoft Store.

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG motherboards with AMD 5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.
Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG motherboards with Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.
Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.
TIPS :
If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hello I'm looking to update my audio driver, but I'm having trouble figuring out which of the downloads pertains to my system. My PC is on the AM4 platform and MB is an ROG crosshair VIII Hero hope that helps.

Hi,
You are in the wrong thread for your motherboard.
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard without ALC40xx codec, so :
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/8xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx).
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi,
I have a ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI (so with an ALC4080 codec). I use Sonic Studio 3 to enhance my sound. I changed my computer SSD so reinstalled Windows 11, Armoury Crate, etc, but SS3 doesn't want to start ("NOPKEY").
I read some threads and you said somewhere "If you want to use SS3 apps you have no choice but to install/use the Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS Legacy)".
Did not find it but "Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS)" so tried it.
Of course, done all the cleaning (uninstall apps, restart, Driver Store Explorer, SS3 Cleaner, hidden devices in Device Manager,...), installed with Install.cmd with admin rights, restarted, installed apps from the store, installed the update... but same problem.
Is there any solution to continue using SS3 or is this completely dead ?

I think the legacy thing is no more and Mokichu is providing drivers for us who use SS3 but as you said a few months ago the situation was that SS3 was at end of life state. I was gone a month or two and came back to see that SS3 was being supported again. I'll let Mokichu explain that because I don't know what happened. However I'm on a Z790-A D4 and I used SS3 throughout since I bought the motherboard last December. The difference is that I installed ASUS OEM drivers for audio from the support page of the motherboard first and then used Mokichu's drivers to keep them updated. Recently a couple week's ago I used his SS3-DTS Unbound update package and it did a phenomal job updating.
My suggestion would that you start over, fresh win 11 install, win updates and insider updates if you are an insider and then install the oem package for your motherboard and test functionality first before everything else. If everything works then update that with drivers here.

I solved my problem! Tested on my Windows and then fresh install.
Here is what I have done:
Since, it works. No need to launch NahimicService.exe manually at restart.

That is the one I used as well, but last I installed that was 9 months ago and installer worked fine but not completely, I remember installing every executable there, it was a pain, and then I had updated it with Mokichu drivers from here. And you should as well. Timeout does explain sometimes that service is not operating. Glad you figured it out. And crossing fingers I do not have to reinstall Windows anytime soon 😂

Hi MiKiChU,
Having serious problems getting SS3 working again. I updated the drivers with Armoury Crate and ever since SS3 won't load. I've since tried all your steps with several drivers and yet I continue to get this:
Not sure what to do at this point or which drivers I should be using. My motherboard is
It also says it is preloaded with DTS Sound Unbound
I do have a question. No matter if I use Armoury Crate or your instructions, in Device Manger I show this:
Is that correct?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I have followed your clean up instructions to the letter as well as the install.
Also, if you could point me to the correct drivers I would appreciate it.
