OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG motherboards with AMD 5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.
Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG motherboards with Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

I appreciate the fast response! Unfortunately, I did as guided, the issue persists. I can play a specific song and guarantee a pop at 7 seconds. I am still hearing popping elsewhere too. I have checked bluetooth headphones and my usb DAC (scarlett focusrite solo 3rd gen)

Is there anything I can check to make sure I did everything correct?

Hey, i use ROG Crosshair X670E HERO motherboard. I install  Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUSROGSS3-DTS), right?

Greetings!

I have a ROG Strix B650e-f and I am experiencing audio cracking. At specific points in specific songs, when playing games, when starting and stopping a video. It happens in wireless headphones and wired speakers, so I know it must be driver related?

My build:

  • Asus Rog Strix B650e-f
  • AMD Ryzen 7950x3D
  • 4080 Super
  • G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo DDR5 64GB 6000mhz

Is this an applicable place for me to be looking for a solution? What is the proper course for my build?

Thank you! 😊

Hi,

If you are using USB audio DAC and/or wireless headphones, you are not using your Realtek USB Audio controller and so your issue is not related to your Realtek USB Audio drivers.

Contact ASUS Support and/or open a new thread in this ROG Care category : ROG Care - Hardware & Software Support - Gaming Motherboards.

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC40xx codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hey, thanks for reply. But i need to ask one more something. Shall I delete the following as well in Driver Store Explorer?

- dtsapo4xhpxv2x64.inf

- avolutess3vad.inf

- dtsapo4xhpxv2x64.inf : No, this one is not related to the drivers package that I offer, it is a driver related to a USB audio equipment (your USB headset/headphones maybe ?) that you have that has DTS Headphone:X v2 built-in. But if you already deleted it, no problem, just reinstall your USB headset/headphones drivers/app.

- avolutess3vad.inf : Yes.

Thanks.

I did the cleaning process as you said. I ran install.cmd as administrator but it gave the following warning. Sorry for the Turkish warning. The warning also says "No drivers are supported in this driver package" and I can't install. I would be glad if you could help.

As explained by PM :

- Make sure you have extracted the zip before running Install.cmd/Update.cmd
- Make sure you do not run the installer from a network drive or shared folder on another PC on your network
- Make sure you do not extend the tree of where the installer is launched (with multiple/identical subfolders). You can store the drivers packages wherever you want, but I recommend moving them to your Downloads folder when you want to install them. Example :

Bad : ...\xxxxxxxxxx\xxxxxxxxxx\xxxxxxxxxx\xxxxxxxxxx\xxxxxxxxxx\xxxxxxxxxx\AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.4.0.xxxx\Install.cmd

Bad : ...\AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.4.0.xxxx\AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.4.0.xxxx\Install.cmd

Good : C:\Users\x\Downloads\AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.4.0.xxxx\Install.cmd

Hey, I did what you said and completed the installation successfully, thank you.

Hello
Here is my spec:

OS: Windows 11 23H2  (Build 22631.4037)
Bios: 2503
Mainboard: ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI

I already have USB Audio set to Enabled in Bios
However when I install UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS, the driver doesn't show up in Device Manager

When I open Realtek Audio Console, it says "Cannot connect to rpc service". And of course there's no audio coming from both back and front panel audio jacks. It feels like the PC doesn't recognize any audio ports (if that make sense).
