TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency

MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

I would like advice, which version I should take for a ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Sincerely.

Edit: On my current version of the driver (6.3.9600.2333), I have an impedance problem when plugging in my headphones (an MMX 300 gen2 plugged in the back) that stays above 1000ohm. Would you know the way to correctly recognize the impedance of my devices? (The sound of my headphones is weaker than my old one which was plugged in spdif, I suspect the impedance to be responsible, the MMX 300 gen 2 has an impedance of 32ohm).

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Great, thanks.

Thread, post & drivers package updated.

Thanks for your posts and time.

I have a Z790 Hero and followed your install directions from the "[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)" thread.

Specifically under the "ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards" section.

Unfortunately I have an error in that process which I posted about in that thread.

However, even though I generally use a 3.5mm headset, sometimes I use a USB headset so I thought to install the drivers from this thread too. If I follow the install directions from this thread under the "ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards" section, isn't that going to remove some of the drivers that I installed from your other aforementioned thread?

Thank you very much! That fixed my issue - not only in attempting to install Realtek Audio Console, but also the original issue which was that my 3.5mm microphone wasn't working.

I very much appreciate you taking the time to respond in both threads, your patience, as well as all of your help to this community. It means a lot.

I hope there is a solution soon MoKiChU. I'm happy to go to Eleven Forum, but it would be great to be able to get all of your drivers from one place. The way things were working here on the old forum was great and one of the main reasons I'm active here was because of your driver updates. You do an amazing job looking after so many motherboard and chipset variants 👍

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4001, MEI 2433.6.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.35.2557, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

Hi!

I have an x670e HERO motherboard, and i have constant audio problems with it. I'm using my SPDIF out with a Sennheizer headset and it keeps crackling nonstop, it realy is anoying. I tried your drivers, with your cleanup method but it doesnt work unfotunately. If i manually delete the avolutesss3vad.inf with drivestore explorer sometimes the crackles stop, so it reduces the accurance. I even installed your drivers without any of the a-volute drivers, it work till one restart and windows automatically installed the nahimic driver. Please can you help me with this problem because it drives me crazy that this high tier and realy expensive motherboard can be so bad on driver front.

Hi,

1) Update your Realtek USB Audio Firmware to the last if it is not done yet.

2) You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

- Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process
- Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process

3) Once it's done, follow these 2 TIPS (also visible at the bottom of the first post) :

- Disable hibernation :

- Right-click Windows Start button then click Search.
- Search for cmd. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt and then click Run as administrator.
- If/When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
- At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off and then press Enter then close the Command Prompt.

- Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_util_v3.exe" > Run as administrator), then Apply, then close MSI Mode Utility & restart your PC.

Hi. Unfortunatelly it did not help. I'm at a crossroad now, because every time start my PC I have to fiddle with the drivers to get it working, either delete the avolue crap or reinstall the complete driver pack. This is a joke for a realy expensive product.
