Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency

MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

What version is the correct version for the z790 hero. I'm not having crackling audio at all but I am getting random audiodg.exe crashes all the time. 73 in the last 2 days. New board, fresh install of windows 11. No idea what the issue is.

Mine is also a fresh install of windows 11 Pro, about 2 days ago.

Have you removed all traces of old drivers with DriverStoreExplorer?

Yes I followed Mr.M's, clean up process.

I am wondering if its because I am using the optical cable from my mobo to my logitech speakers???

Thanks for the reply man.

Ok that worked using the 3.5 mm cable.

But now I have the 3 booms again at start up, lol, oh well. Will live with that.

So for the ASUS ROG SS3-DTS boards the only optional app would be Sonic Studio III & Sonic Radar III (Optional). Realtek Audio Control/Console and DTS Sound Unbound are fully required and can't be uninstalled? Also, if we have Realtek USB Audio 2.0 and Microsoft's HD Audio Device driver on a fresh install with no internet connected, do those drivers have to be removed?

Hi,

Only Sonic Radar III is optional. Realtek Audio Control/Console + Sonic Studio III + DTS Sound Unbound are necessary but not imperative in absolute terms, you can uninstall them all, but from my point of view, for an optimal use the minimum would be to install at least Realtek Audio Control/Console.

Also, since you have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, the configuration of the Upmix / Surround must be done via Sonic Studio III (SS3) and/or DTS Sound Unbound :

SS3 : Sonic Studio > Basic Mode :

Sonic Studio Effects : On
Upmix / Surround : Checked

DTS Sound Unbound : DTS Headphone:X > Enable DTS Headphone:X > Configure > Click on the 3 dots (...) and type the reference of your audio equipment :

- If you find your audio equipment select it.
- If you don't find your audio equipment :

If you use earphones : Choose the earphones icon
If you use headphone/headset : Choose the headset icon
If you use speakers : Choose the crossed headset icon

Notes :

- Do not go beyond 48000Hz 24Bits. If you go beyond 48000Hz 24Bits, DTS Sound Unbound will not work, and SS3 may generate crashes or lag spike with some apps/games.
- If you are not using headphones and you are using electrically powered speakers, the detected impedance is distorted and I recommend setting your amplifier to the lowest level (Realtek Audio Control > Playback Devices > Speakers > Amplify Level : Performance).

No, these are built-in drivers.

Thanks, for clarifying all this. I was mostly asking about the sonic radar stuff since I won't actually be using the realtek audio itself (I used a focusrite and their audio drivers) but I figured it probably still makes sense to install realteks audio drivers as a baseline incase I need to use it in the future and there shouldnt be harm in having drivers for my realtek stuff and my other equipment.

Hi everyone,

As reminder, I do not work for ASUS and I will not provide you full support instead of ASUS Support, I only provide you install/update support for the drivers packages that I offer. So :

- If you have an issue that only occurring with the last audio drivers package that I offer : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then install the last audio drivers package from your motherboard support page.

- If you have an issue that already occurring with the last audio drivers package from your motherboard support page (and therefore that issue is not specific to the last drivers package that I offer) : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then install the last audio drivers package from your motherboard support page & contact ASUS Support and/or open a thread in ROG forum in this category : Hardware & Software Support.

Hi,

I would like advice, which version I should take for a ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Sincerely.

Edit: On my current version of the driver (6.3.9600.2333), I have an impedance problem when plugging in my headphones (an MMX 300 gen2 plugged in the back) that stays above 1000ohm. Would you know the way to correctly recognize the impedance of my devices? (The sound of my headphones is weaker than my old one which was plugged in spdif, I suspect the impedance to be responsible, the MMX 300 gen 2 has an impedance of 32ohm).
