TIPS :
If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

But also don't install these drivers or the console, wait until a proper driver for ALC408x is released.

Looks like Realtek is releasing v2 of their Realtek Audio Console, it should come with future driver. I'm sure it will be smooth sailing in terms of upgrades 🙈. It's probably best to clean install when MoKiChU releases a new version
Hi,
That won't be the case, and you probably wouldn't want that to be the case : Realtek Audio Control/Console v2.xx.xxx.x branch is a limited/restricted variant (for a specific use) of Realtek Audio Control/Console v1.xx.xxx.x branch.

Please don't post warez/cracked content in my threads.

Typical Realtek. Complicated beyond reason 😂

I’ve been following your driver threads and guides (thank you for maintaining them!) and I’m reaching out for help with my ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero.
I’m currently trying to get Realtek Audio Console and Sonic Studio III working together through Armoury Crate, but I keep running into the “Can’t connect to RPC service” error in the Realtek Audio Console, even though the Realtek Audio Universal Service is running.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Installed the latest Realtek USB Audio Driver v6.3.9600.2393 (from both ASUS support page and your ROG forum thread).
Confirmed in PowerShell that the RtkAudioUniversalService is installed and running.
Reinstalled the Realtek Audio Console from the Microsoft Store (and reset it afterwards).
Rebooted multiple times and verified that Device Manager shows Realtek USB Audio correctly installed.
Tried manually registering the UWP app.
Despite all this, the Realtek Audio Console still fails to connect to the RPC service, and Sonic Studio doesn’t appear inside Armoury Crate.
Would you be able to confirm which driver package (from your thread) is currently the correct one for the Z790 Dark Hero to enable full Realtek + Sonic Studio functionality?
Or if there’s a specific installation order that I may have missed?
Thanks a lot for your time and all your work supporting the community

Hello!
I’ve been trying to get Sonic Studio and Realtek Audio Console working properly on my ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero, but I keep hitting a wall with the “Can’t connect to RPC service” error inside Realtek Audio Console.
I’ve gone through multiple reinstall attempts and forum guides (including MoKiChU’s excellent driver threads on the ROG forums), but the issue persists.
Here’s my full setup and what I’ve tried so far:
Motherboard: ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (fully updated)
Driver version: Realtek USB Audio Driver v6.3.9600.2393
Realtek Audio Effects Component: v13.0.6000.1168
The Problem:
Realtek Audio Console opens but shows: “Can’t connect to RPC service. Sonic Studio doesn’t appear under Armoury Crate audio tools at all. The Realtek Audio Universal Service is installed and running in the background, verified via PowerShell.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Clean Uninstalled all Realtek-related drivers, apps, and UWP packages (via Device Manager + pnputil + manual Appx removal + Driver Explorer).
Installed the latest Realtek USB Audio Driver v6.3.9600.2393 directly from the official ASUS Z790 Dark Hero support page.
Verified in Device Manager:
“Realtek USB Audio” shows correctly.
“Realtek Audio Effects Component (USB)” driver version: 13.0.6000.1168, signed by Microsoft.
Installed and reset Realtek Audio Console from the Microsoft Store.
Confirmed via PowerShell:Get-Service | Where-Object { $_.DisplayName -like "*Realtek*" } Output:Running RtkAudioUniversalService Realtek Audio Universal Service Service is running correctly, even after restarts.
Attempted manual driver binding via “Have Disk” → confirmed compatible with Realtek USB Audio.
Reinstalled Armoury Crate and checked modules, and Sonic Studio still missing.
Either RealtekHSA.inf (Realtek Hardware Support App) isn’t properly registering, or The UWP driver components and the service layer (RtkUWP / APOs) are mismatched or not binding correctly under Windows 11 25H2.
Confirmation from anyone with a Z790 Dark Hero or similar ROG board who has Sonic Studio + Realtek Audio Console fully working under Windows 11 25H2.
Could anyone also confirm also on: The correct driver version and package using with both functioning. Any hidden service, INF, or registry dependency that needs manual registration. Whether the “RealtekHSA.inf missing” message is expected with current driver builds.
I also tried installing older Realtek Audio Driver v6.3.9600.2368 (WHQL), same RPC error.
Rebooted multiple times, clean device reinstall, still no luck.
I’ve been chasing this for a couple of days, and it feels like I’m just one small missing service or driver link away from getting it all working.

Has anyone else had issues with Impedance Sensing on 6.4.0.2422? Mine is erratic and that is even after a fresh OS Install
Removed drivers and used DDU to remove Realtek Audio. Reinstall in seems to be fine now. will keep a eye on it.
Nope still buggy impedance sensing.

Hello,
Just A small question about the .inf files, I suppose I do not have to delete the network adapter .inf?
Would you be so kind to tell me which to delete ?
I am a complete noob when it comes to these things.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
As indicated in the CLEANUP process of your motherboard category, only check the boxes which the inf starts with realtek :
Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf starts with (if you find them) :
a-volute | avolute | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | realtek | rtdusbad
So regarding the .inf keyword realtek, you can delete the 4 bottom (realtekservice.inf, realtekhsa.inf, realtekusbapo.inf and realtekasio.inf).
I'll let you apply the same principle to the others .inf keyword to search : a-volute | avolute | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | rtdusbad.
