Dolby Extension Driver : 10.1022.825.39 WHQL [21/10/2025]
Dolby HSA SoftwareComponent Driver : 3.30803.830.0 WHQL [17/12/2024]

ASUS ROG Realtek|Dolby Atmos motherboards :

Install/Update Process :

CLEANUP

/!\ If you already had Realtek USB Audio Driver, Realtek Audio Control/Console, Dolby Access installed /!\
Uninstall them (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf starts with (if you find them) :
a-volute | avolute | dax | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | realtek | rtdusbad
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

INSTALL

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > "Next" > The installer will ask you to restart your PC > "Finish"
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your apps from the Microsoft Store shortcuts

UPDATE

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > "Next" > The installer will ask you to restart your PC > "Finish"
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Click on the "Select Old Driver(s)" button > Click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

Note : Your apps will be updated automatically via the Microsoft Store.

Press Windows key + X > "Device Manager" > "View" > Check "Show hidden devices" > "Sofware components" category
Uninstall these hidden devices by right-click Uninstall device (if you find them) then restart your PC :

INSTALL

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG motherboards with AMD 5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.
Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG motherboards with Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Thanks! another question, what is special about these drivers, I'm trying to use them since the ones in the support page for my motherboard wont install properly and the audio is very bad. I am at work now so I can't try these but hopefully they fix my issue

nothing special. They are just more true to the actual newest versions than the mb pages. If you experience issues, try a driver from your motherboard page. They should fit your motherboard though. 

Remember to follow the cleanup process strictly. The realtek drivers are notoriously known for doing weird stuff. 

Try to disable any audio enhancements in the windows sound property of your output. 

Remember that this is not a support thread, and many people are signed up to these threads for driver related updates, not every time Joe Pascal needs a driver for his mobo 😉 ❤️ no hate. Mokichu is not a support assistant though very very helpful, but please dont default to this solution, he gets overloaded with such requests, many people get a notification  and mokichu gets zero payment for his efforts. 

The rest of the forum is more than capable of helping you out with specific problems in most cases. The least we can do is to try ourselves before we send questions his way 🙂 !

Have a strix x870e-e. Which audio driver do I install?  The Realtek audio

or just the audio from the motherboard support page.  Only one listed there so not sure the difference

Drivers won't install after following every step, it asks me to restart pc, but when I boot back up, no drivers installed. I know it is not a support thread, but I don't know where to go. I have Strix Z790-E Wifi

GUYS SORRY I MADE IT WORK. I had to force the drivers folder through device manager. IT FINALLY WORKED.
