Hello, i just buyed Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus, i will disable inegrated audio in BIOS before plugging it to my B650E-E PCIEx-3 port...

... should i really uninstall the driver or no worry about it and let it installed ?

It's:

- Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) :

Drivers : 6.4.0.2404 WHQL [28/10/2024]
DTS APO4x Extension Driver : 1.14.1.0 WHQL [22/05/2024]

= i don't have DTS... so i will not find all the stuff anyway

/!\ If you already had Realtek USB Audio Driver, installed /!\
Uninstall it (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf starts with (if you find them) :
a-volute | avolute | dax | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | realtek | rtdusbad
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

Followed the ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound guide religiously for the B650-A Gaming WIFI, but it seems like when 2 channel speakers are connected to the motherboard and headphones are connected to the front panel jack, audio plays from both devices at once.

Anyone else had this issue? I would assume the headphone output should only look at the front headphone jack - and it doesn't look like the Realtek Audio Control is missing the split audio streams function.

Same problem witn B650E-E

Thanks MoKiChU for posting these drivers.

I recently built a new system around a ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI motherboard. The default Realtek drivers upon Windows 11 installation caused terrible distortion (over-amplification or clipping?) via the rear 3.5mm line out to a set of powered bookshelf speakers. I then followed the instructions as per the stickied post for ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound.

The driver setup now looks clean, but I am still getting some small audio distortion with Amplify Level set to Performance. I noticed that the distortion level increases if this setting is increased to Powerful or Extreme, and is minimised when set to Performance. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a lower amplification setting than that.

Apart from the driver, I have not installed any of the apps in the package, other than Realtek Audio Console (which I have screenshotted below). Is this necessary? I assume that they should not interfere with the basic sound levels from the machine.

I am now at a loss on how to resolve this audio distortion issue, so any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Try lowering the volume in windows then turning the volume up on your speakers

Thanks, I noticed that this does seem to help a bit, but there are a few things that I was hoping could be clarified:

  1. Given that I am using an analog output to the powered speaker, I generally believed that you are meant keep the "source" volume high, to avoid amplifying noise on the speaker side.
  2. I would be very surprised / disappointed if the audio setup for this motherboard was not designed to work across the full range of Windows 11 volume controls.

Is there any huge downsides to disabling audio enhancements, this is the only way past some buggy audio
