So the newest drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) are back to the mic issue, audio output is now fine, but the mic volume and mic boost do not work, +0, +10, +20, +30db does nothing, and the mic volume slider does nothing also, from 1-100 is the same volume, setting to 0 basically mutes the mic, no changes in volume from 1-100, its the same gain across the entire slider...back to the legacy drivers, now everything seems to be working fine...

Having the same issue as @Scrow with the mic again, but I found a solution that works. It also doesn't require any mic boost or software to work 🤣. Please see the image below. Magic

Hi,
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC40xx codec, so :
You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

It's quite a bit sad that now instead of realtekservice.inf ver. 1.0.660.0 and realtekhsa.inf ver. 11.0.6000.311, the current driver package uses the older versions - 1.0.636.0 and 11.0.6000.304 respectively.
It would be nice to have an option to use really the latest versions available for all the components, including realtekservice.inf and realtekhsa.inf.
Does anybody know the way to do that, e.g. where and how to find the latest versions of those components and how to make them work with MoKiChU's audio drivers?

ok I think got a solution that i post a week ago.
That even with no effect apply windows does create effect. After some digging. i find a fix at least with my case and board. and i test it. since once i disable the exclusive and signal on control panel realtek driver and effect kick in perfect.
UPDATE: not permanent. I am testin also something else. Same menu on control panel. Disable exclusive mode both and restart. Is not the driver the driver is fine. Is windows. let me see how i can get this to ms to check and make this persistent . when X factors like realtek audio is present. let see sadly i do not have direct link to them since you need more than a test
Check if works since WINDOWS especialy 11, does have it own system. If after works you all great.
To go control panel, then sound. and open speakers go to speaker properties and levels and disable EXTRA signal and apply and restart.
Once that is done. ONLY boss drivers will do the eq and effect and the extra effect has gone for me. I only use boss drivers for my z690 apex.
I did know windows 11 improve audio with not control over aside effect on \ off. try if works for all. NOTE: i can not test this on Z790 V2 (wifi7) boards. I will try other USB asud products during the day since this goes to it own drivers set for armory crate usb asus products.
for now is not the driver i will make it work eventually thanks boss i am very happy to see and use this for the first time in years. was incredible was the ss3 the problem .

Hi @MoKiChU I've updated my X670E Hero with your latest driver the SS one, not the SS3 legacy, following ur guide with the clean steps, I've notice that the Amplify on the front panel doesn't work, the realtek app show the section but changing it doesn't make any difference, with the old legacy SS3 works, can you check it?
Thanks for all ur work!
EDIT: Also the boost on the mic doesn't work and volume is very low
