Install/Update Process :

CLEANUP

/!\ If you already had Realtek USB Audio Driver, Realtek Audio Control/Console, Dolby Access installed /!\
Uninstall them (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf starts with (if you find them) :
a-volute | avolute | dax | dts | extrtxusb | hdx | realtek | rtdusbad
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

INSTALL

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > "Next" > The installer will ask you to restart your PC > "Finish"
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your apps from the Microsoft Store shortcuts

UPDATE

Launch "Update.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Automatic restart when install is done
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Click on the "Select Old Driver(s)" button > Click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

Note : Your apps will be updated automatically via the Microsoft Store.

Press Windows key + X > "Device Manager" > "View" > Check "Show hidden devices" > "Sofware components" category
Uninstall these hidden devices by right-click Uninstall device (if you find them) then restart your PC :

INSTALL

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG motherboards with AMD 5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.
Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG motherboards with Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets with ALC40xx codec.

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Probably because he manually updating/installing Realtek Audio Control (the Realtek HSA SWC Driver gives the installation order to the Microsoft Store for the appropriate version, i.e. Realtek Audio Control v1.51.337.0 with the Realtek USB Audio Drivers v6.4.0.2395 and not the v1.51.339.0).

I did the installation exactly as you described and UI Version 1.51.337.0 is displayed for me and that also came from the MS Store.

So what is the fix for this? Am I correct to say these are the drivers for my board: Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) : Z790A WIFI II

After cleaning up every driver from the cleanup process and downloading the new driver that installs with the UI made things even worse, now the realteak console says can't connect to RPC service. I'm not seeing it in the driver store explorer either.

So I did something stupid and installed very old drivers from the Asus store and look... magically everything works.

Since this forum is not a github page where once can easily download previous version, I hate to ask, but does anyone have the zip file? Thanks

As I understand it, you should uninstall the old driver according to MoKiChU's instructions. He describes everything.

When everything is ready and there are further updates later, you can do the "update" directly, he also describes.

hum, actually perhaps i misspoke.  i checked the versions and the update process hasn't updated the services etc since March.  when i do a clean reinstall (following the procedure) with the current version none of the services are installed at all.

actually, possibly i've been installing the 'wrong' version this whole time, i've been using SS-DTS, when i just clean installed the current SS3-DTS everything works.

@MoKiChU how do we tell which version we are supposed to use?  i have an X670E Crosshair Hero, i'm sure somebody told me it was SS-DTS a while back.

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Thanks for the hint, looks like I was installing the wrong version as well. I needed SS3-DTS as well it would seem and now realtek audio control works fine as well as the mic boost feature.
