OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

Whether for SS3 or SR3, when this type of popup message appears it means that an update of SS3/SR3 has just been done via the Microsoft Store and that the PC must be restarted to complete the update.

Using the SS3 Cleaner tool is only useful when this popup loops back while you are already up to date.

Ah, ok..perfectly understood.

So as in my case, when it appears, it never appears again in a while, and so I assume it really updates those software the proper way.

Thanks so much for the clarification.

Hi,

This is an ASUS PRIME DTS Headphone:X v1 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS PRIME/TUF DTS HPXv1 MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

What package should I install on Strix B550-F? I tried the first one, but Audio Console and many other components couldn't be installed. I had to use the old 8999 package from support page and it also installed DTS. But I don't see DTS anywhere in the system. I'm confused.

Hi,

ASUS made a mistake, the latest drivers package available on your support page (6.0.8971.1) is not for your motherboard but for ASUS PRIME/TUF DTS Custom motherboards.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard Gen1, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) Gen1 or Gen2 (Recommended) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hiya, I followed these steps for my ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING and I got no sound output, had to uninstall to get it back. What could have gone wrong? Thanks

Hi,

Always check the requirements at the bottom of all my threads :

OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit 1803/RS4/17134.x or more recent (20xx/VB/1904x.x or more recent for some Third Party drivers).

If you meet the OS requirements, check that Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer is disabled (if it is enabled, it takes over by default on your playbak/recording devices) via :

- If you have installed Sonic Studio III : Sonic Studio III > Record Studio > Virtual Mixer > Virtual Mixer : Off
- If you haven't installed Sonic Studio III : Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer : Right click on it > Disable device

If after that you still haven't fixed the issue, send me by PM an .csv extract of all your DriverStore via Driver Store Explorer (File > Export).

@ Everyone : Please to those for whom it works to come forward, there is way too much negative feedback and almost no positive feedback (other than to say thank you), if the people who are complaining outnumber those who are satisfied, I don't see why to continue to release.

@ Those who complain of BSOD of all kinds or whatever else : I don't design/build the drivers, there is no point in telling me about your issues at each release unless it concerns the drivers installation or the packaging thereof. If you have issue, use the drivers packages from your product support page.
