OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

>>>these unilateral sanctions are useless and won't bring peace.

I dis agree! As Mordin (from Mass Effect 2) said: No limitation - no advancements. No advancements - stagnation.

We will go through it either way: with partners or alone. Painfull, will take time, but important.

Like in "The Outer Worlds": "You've tried the best... now try the rest". 🙂

France ain't look safe this days too. Take care there! Who else will make this packs?! 🙂

>>>Correct, or delete the DTS folder from AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.xxxx.x\Drivers\ThirdParty folder.

Nice!

Hi @MoKiChU I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. So I have the ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI) which is a Z490 board (pretty sure for audio falls under SS3+DTS Sound Unbound. I however own and use a SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless headset on my PC and utilize the SteelSeries Sonar suite which has its own drivers and audio APO installed. I do have the realtek specific drivers installed obviously but they're out of date. Wanted to update them without needing all of the SS3 or DTS drivers (I checked my device manager as well as the list of drivers you suggest cleaning in the Cleanup section first and don't have the following: a-volute | avolute | dts | hdx) nor do I have the hidden software components.

What do you recommend I do if I don't want the SS3 or DTS stuff? Or the Microsoft store applications (don't have any of the MS apps installed either currently).

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

To get rid of your SS3/DTS app/drivers :

1) Cleanup : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process.

2) Install : Delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.xxxx.x\Drivers folder then follow scrupulously your INSTALL process (without installing SS3/DTS apps).

For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process (always after having delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.xxxx.x\Drivers folder).

Thanks for the reply and the help! I appreciate it. About to update tonight finally and will post back here if I have any issues or other questions but I understand what you stated I should do. Thank you again.

Hello,

What are the basic drivers for UAD support with Realtek Console? Prime Z590-A (S1220A + DTS:X ULTRA). I don't need the full package.

Thanks.

Hi,

You cannot choose a drivers package type, each drivers package type is dedicated to each motherboards type.

You have an ASUS PRIME DTS:X Ultra motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTSX Ultra) from the first post of this thread.

Note : If you don't want DTS:X Ultra, just don't install/uninstall it.

Thanks.

It's a pity. I was looking for a UAD driver to replace with Microsoft generic one.

After years i`m back to ASUS. I own a b650-A gaming.

The soundchip is an ALC 4080 and i`m confused. I want to use the equalizer from realtek and nothing from the sonic crapware.
But only on SPDIF tab the equalizer is shown not on the speaker tab. OS is windows 11.

How can i fix it?

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40).

Regarding your question, it is by design, it's intended to work like this at least for ASUS products : If third party drivers/app are built-in, the equalization is done via the third party drivers/app (SS3 drivers/app in your case).

@ Everyone : I remind you that I don't work for ASUS (everything I do for the ASUS ROG community is out of passion, on a voluntary basis) and it is Realtek at the request of ASUS that determines your motherboards features, not me nor the audio drivers that I offer. If you would like to know more about your motherboard features, please contact ASUS Support.

Thanks for answering. ASUS is also doing useless ASUS things again. The equalizer from sonic studio is crap. I need small steps like 0.4 or 1.3. In sonic only 1 or 2 and so on is given.

Mhhh maybe it was the wrong idea to give another chance on ASUS.
