OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC408x).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi there!
So for ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards no need to update?
Thank you.

Hi,

Correct, you have completely understood, I always indicate the motherboards which are concerned by the update.

What are these drivers for? Are they any different from the ones from the ASUS support/driver website? I have an ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Z490 and installed the realtek audio drivers from the website. Do I need to install these as well?

Hi,

This error occurs when you use a drivers package not intended for your motherboard.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

If you used the latest drivers package from your motherboard support page (6.0.1.8746), this is an HDA drivers package, it is normal that you cannot install RAC (Realtek Audio Control/Console) because it is intended for UAD drivers and not HDA drivers.

HDA Drivers use Win32/Legacy apps (including Realtek HD Audio Manager)
UAD Drivers use UWP apps downloaded from Microsoft Store (including Realtek Audio Control/Console)

Another great update, thank you MoKiChU

After one of the latest updates there's a process "asusns.exe" starting at every Windows start.
It looks somehow connected to Sonic Studio, it's located in %LOCALAPPDATA% and in its folder there's the following files: a_heartbeat, a_queue, asusns.exe, NhNotifSys.dll.
I tried to remove it but it came back, now I've tried to remove the registry key that contained "asusns.exe", it was somewhere in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

I do not use neither of the Sonic applications so I didn't install any of them, I only installed Realtek Audio Console.
Was it safe to remove that and how to may be exclude it from the installation at all?

P.S. Using the UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB version as my motherboard supports SS3.

Thank you MoKiChU for your hard work and updates and not just audio drivers. STAY WELL!
