OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME/ProArt motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME/ProArt motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

@ Everyone who report issues : I remind you that I do not work for ASUS :

- If your issue occurring with drivers from your motherboard support page (and therefore that it is not specific to the drivers that I propose) : Open a ticket with ASUS Support.
- If your issue didn't occurring with drivers from your motherboard support page : CLEANUP process then install/use the drivers package from your motherboard support page.

While you do not work for ASUS judging by all the people you are helping simply by repackaging the drivers and the amount of people that are being attracted to this post with issues that are not being solved by simply following the initial process i figured you may know something that may help. If this was the wrong assumption that you could or are willing to help i am sorry just like i am sorry that i bought this board.
I contacted ASUS support. They asked if I had latest BIOS. 3501 is installed on my machine although 3601 beta is out. Then they asked me did i reinstall drivers. Then they asked did i try other speakers which i did.
Then they ask if i want to RMA.
Asus did not confirm that i went to the correct place for the drivers. They did not check to make sure i uninstalled them a certain way. They did not check to see if it would work if i went about it another way.
Essentially this could still be a driver issue but they are telling me to dismount my cpu and cooler, pack up my mobo and send it to them for a hardware diagnosis.
There are people on this thread with issues similar to mine and people on other threads with the same or similar asus boards that claim the issue is related to realtek and windows 10. Such as but not limited to this thread https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?76733-Unbalanced-sound-on-vi-Hero-with-Windows-10-and-2-1-...

My course of action will be to do a clean reinstall of windows 10 and then try 7 if that does not work before pursing RMA. To anybody who believes they are having driver issues, you can start a ticket but don't expect ASUS to be helpful. If i find any solution i will post back on the thread to help anybody who has problem. If i do RMA and it turns out to be hardware issue i will also report to give reference to anybody trying to get their hardware to work properly.

I looked at the support page of your motherboard and saw that these drivers will not work with your motherboard. These driver versions start with 6.0. The drivers from the support page start with 6.3. This means that you should be using the USB drivers in the USB Realtek driver thread.

I have these installed now: still nothing 22.84 which start with 6.3
sonic studio nor radar is working and the realtek audio console doesnt connect to the rpc service.

I have no idea why im not getting a option to use the onboard sound? Has to be drivers or this BRAND new motherboard is crap?

Ok, so I went on our other computer with a Asus Prime z390a motherboard. I see that it has Realtek High Definition Audio driver installed. Only the Usb realtek driver is installed on mine.

Also, the realtek audio console immediately opened on the other pc with the correct driver installed. I have removed everything 3-4 times and reinstalled the asus site drivers 2284 and 2286. I am at a complete loss right now. The software sonic radar and studio are installing, and the realtek console, but obviously the HIGH DEF AUDIO DRIVER is not installing?

Besides the USB drivers, which drivers did you use for the analog ports on the front and back of the case?

Bud, it doesn't matter what I plug into this board. Windows doesn't see any rear or front panel audio.
