TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

MR. M

I am having issues with this new driver. It installs but I can not get the realtek audio control to open up??? It installs but will not open up at all. I have followed your directions too a "T", but no go?

Can you by any chance give me the previous driver you posted before this new one today.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE:

I got it to work Mr. M. I spent about 2 hours installing uninstalling and its working now? I think the MS store was the issue!

I love you dude @MoKiChU

If anyone is googling trying to find solution to their problem I will describe mine.

After windows update late June 2020 my mic stopped working. I have Vmooda boom pro mic. It's mic on cable that you can connect to headphones with detachable cable, so you can combine good headphones (eg Philips fidelion x2) with PC without any more cables. It works on 4pin 3,5jack -all in one, but this is not important. After win update my mic stopped working, headphones and audio were fine. I pulled my hair out trying to find what's wrong, of course it was win installing different drivers. So long story short, I finally came to this driver that actually worked and my mic and audio works fine.
I have rog strix II GL504M and I used SS3 driver. Thank you again sir.

PS: maybe next time you can look at aura core lighting drivers, they are mess too hehehehe 😄
Peace

Guys, sorry if this was asked before, for the default format in the Realtek Audio Control what do you select? I usually select 96000Hz and 24bits because way back when I had a Creative card, this setting was the cleanest sound. Just curious.

Also, Mokichu, this driver update I only did the "update" rather than clean install, and it nicely updated, everything works, except the software component "A-Volute Nh3 Audio Effects Component" is stuck at 1.8.0.0, can't update this one for some reason. Again, everything works so I take it as is. Thank you for your hard work.

Something else I've always wondered -- Mokichu, how exactly do you know which motherboards use which audio drivers? You probably have them memorized by heart at this point due to so many people asking, but how would someone figure it out themselves?

What's odd to me is that I can see in the list that there is the base Sonic Studio 3 edition, followed by several versions w/bigger and better DTS features (I assume this is DTS surround sound), but the DTS features don't increment w/the motherboard price line. Eg. I have a ROG STRIX Z390-F, which I think is higher-end Asus product that Prime or TUF lines, but yet those mb's include DTS Realtek features that mine doesn't. That seems odd?

So let's pretend I'm buying a new Z-490 ROG STRIX mb but I want to figure out which of you drivers apply to it. What would I look at to figure it out myself?

Keep up the good work! Thanks!!

Hi,

As stated on the first post of this thread, in order to know which drivers package to use, match the specifications of your motherboard with the apps.

Example for your current & your futur motherboard :

- ROG Strix Z390-F : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z390-F-GAMING/specifications/

So, it's an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.

- ROG Strix Z490-F : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z490-F-GAMING/specifications/

So, it's an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard.
