OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME/ProArt motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME/ProArt motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

I have the Maximus XI Formula, which drivers should I use?

Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.

Hi MoKiChU

I have the Asus Maximus X Code, which drivers do I need to install?

Also what is the difference between HDA and UAD Drivers? is one recommended over the other? and why?

Thanks in advance.

First of all THANKS for all your effort. This is great stuff!

I have a problem with Realtek Audio Console when using the RTK package - it doesn't open and just shows a splash screen with spinning wheel.
I've been using the SS3 file on previous installs and it worked then, but I wanted to get rid of the Sonic Mixer device and the drivers that come with it.
Do you know how to mitigate it? I re-installed the audio console multiple times to no avail.

I fully cleaned the driverstore before install and I'm using a X470-F board.

I falsely assumed that the ROG/PRIME/TUF RTK package was the universal "RTK only" driver for all lines of boards.
Thanks for clearing that up so quickly and providing the patch. I will follow your directions.

EDIT: Thank you. That did the trick! Will you be providing these SSVM Removal Patches somewhere for future driver releases or am I able to use this one for all installs?

No, this patch will not be compatible with the following releases.

I modified the process/patch/link that i gave you above so that you can apply it in future drivers packages releases.

got a SS3 3.16.10.0 update just now. but faulty NahimicService.exe and A-volute crash errors are back! i think these 2 will be a constant issue. i know is not the main driver or the compilations. that is for sure. drivers are solid not even 1 pop or crack sound. so far, the 6.0.8960.1 are the best one that i have use.

Hi,

I also got this Sonic Studio III v3.6.10.0 update from MS Store (like all ROG SS3 and ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound users) but I have no issue.

Try clean install (CLEANUP process then INSTALL process).

A Volute and Nahimic was sold to SteelSeries. these issue is not new. these has come since 1903. There is a reason for these and is not my place. there are people more intelligent to explain these on app level. But we will have to adapt. and I am gratefully that i have audio.

Now, i can be wrong. but since these 2020 is the start of UWP applications push by MS. some new changes are in. I check why the issue and is my Razer Seiren Elite. is working fine but SS3 do not like it. I will plug the other one i have tomorrow that is the beyerdynamic FOX and test. Since I am doing something new now, i can not test all scenarios. need to be ready for June 27 but i will test all sides since i like my music nice.

These 2 apps are not push by MS anymore. but are needed and is need on all Realtek OEM board

You may be have kind of conflicts with others devices/drivers/softwares, so in order to determine which one generates the conflict, try this :

- Disconnect all the USB dongle peripheral devices.
- Uninstall all the software of your headset/headphones/mic and/or peripheral devices which could contain audio modules like ROG Armoury (even if you installed the software for a device which is not audio).
- Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the CLEANUP process until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart).

If everything works after that, reconnect the USB dongle & Install the software of your headset/headphones/mic/peripheral devices one by one in order to determine which one generates the conflict then that you can report it to the adequate support service of the problematic device.

I did thanks. Yes was my razer serien elite. even that the peripheral does not have any software at all, windows install 2 one for mic and other other for the wavetable since has internal dac. once that is off (disconnect from the pc) the SS3 will not crash. i think ss3 do not like my mic 😃 . is ok. I ask my friend to borrow it, since they have almost the same functionality and test other ports on my board. I will dig more if i can more data. thanks for the tips. the odd part is that is not always and if you try to access once 1 the first crash the SS3 give you a note. I will send that later, since i know what is what i can duplicate. i will send that later.
