Hi,

Please do not reply/quote a post that is not intended for you.

AgainI don't offer audio drivers packages for notebooks/laptops in order to focus on my field : DIY PC/Motherboards (hence the fact that my threads are in Motherboards category).

Please refer to your product support page to download the appropriate drivers for your product (if you have any issue with them, please contact ASUS Support).

Hi,

You have an ASUS TUF DTS Custom motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS Custom) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi,

Sorry if this question is dumb or asked a lot, I tried looking for an answer before asking so here I am :
I'm using ROG Maximus XI CODE Motherboard and the driver from the website is awful, my in-game audio is literal trash. I downloaded - Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS), so I wanted to know if I have the right one?
Also, I didn't download the SS3 and SR3, so is it okay if I don't have them, or will they improve my ingame sound if I download them?
Next question : I didn't update the driver via the updater in the folder, because I don't want the Impedance Sensing in my Realtek Audio Control app, it kind of messes the audio in my games, is it okay if I don't update it at all?

Sorry, maybe my questions are dumb, I just wanna be sure if it's okay like this.

Thank you!

Sonic Radar III app is optional/not necessary, but you need to install Sonic Studio III app in order to have your EQ and to use (or not) the SS3 sound effects features (https://www.asus.com/microsite/mb/ROG-supremefx-gaming-audio/#sonic_studio), so if you don't care about that, SS3 app installation is not mandatory.

Either you follow the processes I give you, or you do as you wish, but if you tinker the processes in your own way (and the side effects that arise from your actions), don't expect any support from me.

Thank you for the whole explanation, it means a lot!

In my past experience that I have with SS3, I didn’t like the EQ on it because I play mostly FPS games and it messed the audio in games, I just put the “Powerful” EQ on the Realtek Audio Control app and it sounds perfect, other than that I don’t change anything.

I will just go ahead and update the driver via the updater in the folder and keep it like that.

Thank you very much for your help and for providing us with these perfect drivers!

What driver are required for Asus X470-F Gaming Strix?

@LFl wrote:

by disabling the DTS Custom audio effect from the app, shouldn't the equalizer be available again in the Asus Realtek Audio Control app?

@LFl wrote:

Does anyone know if uninstalling DTS Custom enables the speaker equalizer in the Asus Realtek Control app?

No, no EQ will appear in Realtek Audio Control in your playback devices if you uninstall DTS Custom app, except for SPDIF output which was already the case with DTS Custom app installed.

You can disable your DTS Custom audio effect from DTS Custom app as explained previously, but since the EQ is in your third party app (DTS Custom), you need to keep DTS Custom if you want it. It is by design (if a third party app is built-in, the equalization is done via the third party app).

So you have to accept that my motherboard will never sound good with music, DTS (especially with those 3 presets) is something that is good for games but not for music.
Do you think that even if I installed the HDA drivers with Realtek HD Audio Manager I would have a Realtek equalizer?
