What is GNA driver? Do I really need to instal this driver? Can someone explain please?

Hey emred,

The Intel GNA driver is for the Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator, it is a special purpose hardware on the chip that software can use to efficiently run some computations, namely neural network inference. This is similar to Apple's "neural engine" on their CPUs. GNA can run some simpler neural network models with perfect energy efficiency. You can install it tho.

Also in my experience you have to enable GNA in the BIOS. If not enabled then the driver is not needed;

Advanced | Onboard Devices Configuration | GNA Device | Enabled
Somehow its not by default enabled on my TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard.

Hi guys. Windows Update Catalog shows two drivers 1.0.11405.42038 and 1.0.11406.42226. Can you tell me which one to install?

Hi everyone,

The drivers architecture has changed since the last Intel DTT Drivers.

In order to clean up the residue of the old drivers architecture, follow these processes with the last Intel DTT Drivers :

CLEANUP

/!\ If you already had Intel Application Optimization installed /!\
Uninstall it (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers (if you find them) :
dtt_ext.inf | dtt_sw.inf | dttcfg_ext.inf | dttcfg_sw.inf | dttui_ext.inf | dttui_sw.inf | ipf_acpi.inf | ipf_cpu.inf | ipf_ef_ext.inf | ipf_ef_sw.inf
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

INSTALL

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Automatic restart when install is done
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your app from the Microsoft Store shortcuts

I've made those changes which have cleaned up the drivers and all seems to be working again as per your instructions. Thank you.

Intel app optimization stopped working after updated my prime z690-P to the latest bios and following the steps to install DTT 44281. Intel 12900KF

Is it a driver issue with the latest bios (PRIME Z690-P D4 BIOS 3401)

FIXED: Enabled dynamic tuning technology in the BIOS.
