TIPS :
If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

Hi MoKiChU, I found that on my system (ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E) last couple of your MEI driver packages are not any more automatically makes restart after CMD install and I found that last 2 MEI driver packages for unknown reason are not being installed and really used by system. I checked via Driver Store Explorer and newer MEI components are shown as not used... Maybe there is some difference between 600, 700 and newer 800 series? Thank you.

Hi,
The automatic restart command has been removed from the .cmd of all the drivers packages which contained .cmd with automatic restart to try to avoid triggering antivirus by detecting my drivers packages as virus (false positive), this was indicated in my thread index : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/hardware-build-advice/index-all-my-drivers-firmware-software-threads/m....

For information :
- Motherboards with Intel 6xx/7xx/8xx series chipsets : Since Intel 6xx series chipsets, ICLS-ES SWC Device is used instead of ICLS SWC Device. The ICLS SWC Drivers until v1.74.210.0 supports both ICLS & ICLS-ES SWC Devices, so it was transparent, but newer versions than v1.74.210.0 of the ICLS SWC Drivers no more supports ICLS-ES SWC Device. So if you have an ICLS SWC Driver (iclsclient.inf) newer thant v1.74.210.0 in your Driver Store Explorer, you can delete it, it will not be used.
- Motherboards with Intel 8xx series chipsets : Since Intel 8xx series chipsets, DAL SWC Device is no more used. So if you have DAL SWC Drivers (dal.inf) in your Driver Store Explorer, you can delete them, they will not be used.
In order to avoid any ambiguity, since the last Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only) release from today, there are download links for each platform (6xx/7xx & 8xx) which takes these into account these specificities, the thread has been updated accordingly.

The 7xx link was detected as a virus by Chrome.

@bigjohns97@1100R
That "detection" is a false positive. I downloaded and installed it WITHOUT issue on a 6xx machine.
Before you start blaming MoKiChU, you should instead thank him for providing update drivers and firmware to our chipsets. He doesn't have to do this, yet he does and many appreciate it.

I'm not blaming MoKiChU, I'm reporting that defender blocks the download by considering it a virus. I think MoKiChU would appreciate reporting when a problem is detected.
Of course, I greatly value MoKiChU exceptional work.

@DezM nobody is blaming anyone here, we're just letting him know about the detection.
Also, saying you installed it without issue doesn't mean that it's a false positive.

There have been several false positives announced by people over the years in this post. Verify if the file is indeed infected with a 2nd scanner like VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload
It means I downloaded the same file and didn't get an alert of a virus. I'm reporting that as well.
